Dear all,
now it's been a bit more than a week that I returned to Berlin.
Everything turned back to the usual every day life in Berlin and thus, this will be my farewell post.
In conclusion, I can say that I enjoyed my stay in Dublin and Ireland, though the two months passed in the blink of an eye. I had much fun exploring Ireland's cities and Dublin, though I have to admit that I wasn't able to do everything I wanted, simply due to a lack of time.
The internship itself at the company was different from what I expected at the beginning, but then again this isn't that unusual, considering the fact that I had until then only worked in Germany so far.
I did a few odd tasks and most of the time did things that I already did back in my apprentice company, but nonetheless I did some new tasks at the end of the internship, too.
In the end I would recommend doing an internship abroad to you guys if you ever get the chance to, even if your exchange company itself isn't that great, you will meet new amazing people and simply have a great time in another country. So finally you will have broadened your mind and gained new experiences, that you wouldn't be able to gain while just staying in one place.
I hope you had fun reading and following this blog, even if you just found some locations you want to go to in Ireland ;)

Exploring the New Working Area and the Wicklow Mountains
Dear all,
the first weekend ended splendidly, though again a bit too chaotic, haha.
Together with two of my room mates, I set off to the Wicklow Mountains.
There are close by Dublin and easy to reach by the private bus operator called St. Kevin's.
We had an even bigger luck on our side, since one of the few bus stations at which the operator stops, is just around our corner. It took us about 1 h 30 min to get to the Wicklow Mountains and the tickets were a great bargain. It's only € 20 for a return Ticket to Glendalough from Dublin!
The Wicklow Mountains, be the weather as bad as it seems to be, is always worth a visit. We haven't had the best weather conditions to start with, as it was pretty cloudy and it rained from time to time. But all of us three had a great time there, since we were able to take in so much more of Ireland's beauty. Oh, and don't worry if you get a craving for something to eat whilst you're there! Nearby the Visitor Centre is a parking lot with a small fast food restaurant where you'll be able to grab some ice cream, burgers or fish 'n chips.
If you get there by St. Kevin's, I'd still recommend you to get there at least a bit earlier. There were quiet a few other people, so that we just got on the second Bus to Glendalough and our group had been divided at the return as well, as I didn't get a seat on the first one either.
My internship finally started on Monday. I have to admit that I was a bit surprised about the number of members of our office area. We are only 6 people who work in the Dublin office, though we are all in all 4 interns who currently support the other two members. We had a fun start though and our boss even welcomed us with some pizza!
I still need to adjust to my new working situation though, as the departments that I had been working in up until now had far more employees and aside from that it is still a multinational company. It also seems that I will be in charge of most of the admin work, as the other interns specialise either in technical areas or are far more engaged with marketing.
